An intriguing look at the lives of people ‘in service’ from footmen to housemaids. With a fascinating range of images of servants at work in the great houses of Cheshire and an array of artefacts exploring the chores involved in running households before the advent of modern gadgets.

From 13 September we go prehistoric with a special exhibition ‘Trapped in Time’ exploring dinosaurs and fossils.
In January 2014 we will be exploring the stories of the nearby picturesque and historic village of Great Budworth.
From April - September 2014 we will be celebrating the life and work of writer Robert Westall and his many connections with Northwich and the local area.
